TRAVEL TO AND ARRIVAL IN YOUR DESTINATION COUNTRY

FLYING IN:
You'll usually fly into the nearest airport to your project. At the airport you'll be met by either a Travellers member of staff or a Project member of staff, depending on where you're going and which project you're doing. Occasionally, and depending on circumstances, we may send a reputable carrier service to meet you. But you will always be met at the airport, unless you have requested otherwise.

ARRIVING BY BUS OR COACH: Depending on distance between your Project and the airport, you may possibly do the last stage of your travel by Bus or by Coach. Again, you'll be met on arrival at the drop-off point, usually by a member of the Project staff or by a Travellers representative.

From the airport or Coach/Bus drop-off point, you'll be taken to your accommodation and introduced to everyone. On some projects you may have a couple of days to settle in and recover from your journey before being taken to your project and introduced to your project hosts.

ARRANGING YOUR FLIGHTS
You have the option to arrange your own flights or we can assist you with your flight arrangements.

If you would like us to assist with your arrangements, we'll liaise with you regarding available flights and dates to suit you. All arrangements for your flight bookings and payments will be fulfilled by Murray Rogers Travel Limited, ATOL No. 6856.

Where possible, we arrange for two or more people to travel on the same flight and we will let you have the names and telephone numbers of other volunteers on your flight, so that you can chat to each other or even meet up before leaving for your placement.

Where possible, all flights we arrange for you have changeable return tickets because many of our volunteers choose to extend their stay once they are in their destination country. Changeable return tickets enable you to do so, within the limits of your visa and the level of your air ticket, of course. If you choose to book your own flights, you should endeavour to get a changeable ticket.

We can also arrange your flight dates to give you additional time at the end of your project for travelling around and sightseeing

VISAS:
Visa requirements differ from country to country and also sometimes depend on which country you are from. Once we begin arranging your placement, the Project Co-ordinator who will be looking after all your arrangements will liaise with you regarding visas and will provide you with any forms that may be required. Your Project Co-ordinator is there to help you and will make the Visa process as easy as possible.
