INFORMATION ON INSURANCE
When doing a Travellers Voluntary Project overseas, it is a requirement that you take out good, comprehensive insurance cover.
Travellers will provide you with a quote from our Insurance Provider (Endsleigh Insurance). They will provide suitable* cover for your placement (at a very reasonable cost!). Once you accept the quote, we will take care of all the paperwork for you. You can take out your own insurance cover if you wish.

Endsleigh's Insurance Policy: When Travellers arranges your insurance for you, we use Endsleigh, a well-known and reputable insurance company. Once you've applied for your Project/s, we will send you information about the insurance policy and a quote for the period of time you will require, but you can also apply for your insurance online and we will take care of all the paperwork for you. If you have difficulty in downloading the above documents, or in printing them off, please contact us and we'll send you a copy by post.
One of the important requisites of your insurance policy is that you must be covered while teaching in the classroom (teaching placements) and working with animals under supervision (conservation placements).
This necessary cover is included in our quotation. For the adventurous minded, please ask for details of our activity policies available.
Please note that the insurance we offer is available to UK residents only, due to regulations regarding repatriation. All volunteers of other nationalities will need to arrange their own insurance cover. Also, applicants aged between 66 and 74 years of age are required to pay a double premium. For applicants over the age of 74, please contact us for advice regarding suitable policies/insurers.

that ‘1 month’ is a calendar month, and cover finishes the day before the month anniversary
of the commencement date. For example a 2 month policy commencing on 2nd May, would 
expire on 1st July. A ‘weekly’ policy is not calculated this way. E.g. a 6 week policy purchase
