Elephant Conservation in Thailand, a Case Study

Claire Dunkley from Melbourne, Australia, says about her Elephants project in Surin: “Absolutely no improvements necessary. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. ... The information I was given as to what to expect was 100% spot on!”

“As an animal lover [of] elephants in particular, I was keen to head overseas to work with these remarkable pachyderms and help to make a difference to the difficult lives they face in captivity ...

"I loved all the hard work and the many friends I have made and I especially loved getting to know the elephants on the Surin Project. Bonds were formed. It is an indescribable experience, one I will most certainly do again and again. My favourite part? Walking and bathing the elephants! Just being in their presence is awe inspiring. I shed many tears upon my departure, and I feel I have left my soul in Surin. And there it will stay”.
