COMBINE PROJECTS FOR A BROADER EXPERIENCEYOU CAN COMBINE ANY NUMBER OF PROJECTS IN THE SAME COUNTRY OR IN A NUMBER OF COUNTRIES OF YOUR CHOICE For example, start with a month or two (or three) in India or Sri Lanka and then continue onto a project in Malaysia or Thailand, OR try two completely different cultures, e.g. Cambodia and South Africa. The choice is yours. And so are the discounts:
By combining two or more placements, you get to learn about how different ethnic groups live in their own environments and you gain practical experience of the their lifestyles, their cuisine, their religions and generally how they do things. You also get to explore two or more countries and observe for yourself how different environments have their own forms of beauty and exoticism. You can also combine different types of programmes. For example, if you want to spend all your time in one country, but have two different experiences, you could live in Cape Town in South Africa while learning Journalism on a Work Experience placement for example, and then spend the rest of your time teaching conversational English in to Zulu children in KwaZulu-Natal or the coastal holiday resort of Knysna. In Sri Lanka you could do a month's conservation in the famous Elephant Orphanage followed by two months Teaching in Ja-Ela. Another option is to combine two types of placement in two different countries - for example, Teaching in China, where you'll be overwhelmed by the children's desire to learn, and Conservation in South Africa, where the natural beauty and diverse environment offers you a wealth of sights to see and enjoy. ... the contrasts couldn't be greater! We will discuss your requirements and preferences with you and we'll tailor your placements to suit for you. We still think back on it every day." . |
