LIST OF LANGUAGE COURSES AND STUDY ABROAD COURSES OVERSEAS

The best way to learn a language is to live, eat and breathe it. Taking a course in a foreign country is fun. It's also exciting to learn in a different environment and to gain knowledge about that country and its people. There is no better way to learn a language than by living and mixing with native-speakers.  You'll speak the language when you're out shopping, having a beer with new friends, reading the local newspapers or watching television. You'll find that your language skills will improve in leaps and bounds!

The courses range from Beginners through to Advanced. At the same time, you'll learn about a different culture and people and be able to explore the country.

KENYA

• 1-Week Swahili Course: This is your chance to learn the basics of an African language ... how cool is that! And it will add depth to your Kenyan experience. This is an Optional Add-on which you can do before starting work on your main project.
  
  Much of Swahili is derived from Arabic, but has also incorporated Persian, German, Portuguese, English and French words into its vocabulary. It's a fascinating language which is very widely spoken in Africa.

CHINA

• Intensive Mandarin Courses: Take language courses at the University of Yantai and immerse yourself in the Chinese student culture while living on campus.

• Mandarin Courses in Beijing: You can take an intensive course as a full-time placement, thus giving your full attention to your studies. You'll have plenty of free time to explore Beijing and the Chinese culture in your spare time.

• Mandarin Courses as an Optional Add-On: You can take lessons concurrent with your main project. This will give you an added experience during your Chinese adventure!

INDIA

• Tamil Language Lessons: Learn Tamil for a few hours a week as an Optional Add-On alongside your main project. You can take as little as one lesson or 4, 8 or 12 week courses for a few hours each week.

ARGENTINA

• Learn Spanish in Buenos Aires & Mendoza. Spanish is widely spoken around the world, so you'll be adding a substantial skill to your portfolio!

BRAZIL

• Portuguese: We have Portuguese Courses in Rio de Janeiro. These are available at all levels, for either 10 hours or 20 hours per week, depending on how intensive your want your learning experience to be. You can also take short Portuguese courses as an Optional Add-On concurrent with your main project.

GUATEMALA

• Learn Spanish in the resort city of Antigua. Antigua is known for its Spanish Language Institutes and throbs with huge numbers of students and volunteers who congregate there to study the language and enjoy the unique Guatemalan culture.

ECUADOR

• Learn Spanish: in the fantastic capital city, Quito. All levels of courses are available, from beginner to advanced. Learning a language at this wonderful school is fun! You'll be taught by experienced teachers who make every lesson interesting and they even organise great cultural activities as well!
