NZ 1800: ARCHITECTURE INTERNSHIP
Location: Auckland
Requirements: You should be studying your
field at university or qualified in your field. You should have
good knowledge of Autocad and MS Windows. Duration: 10 weeks or longer

This small, architectural firm currently has 5 in the team. The
work focuses on residential houses, commercial developments and
community centres.
New interns will have the opportunity to
learn a vast amount of information over a short period of time
under the supervision of the director and senior staff. Because
the firm is relatively small, you'll have the opportunity to be
exposed to a wide array of different types of projects and
practices.
The requirements for this internship
are that you should:
Know how to use Autocad 2007
(fluently)
Know how to use Microsoft
Windows (fluently)
Be able to communicate fluently
in English
You will be trained in any or all of the following
areas:
Preparing CAD conceptual plans
from sketches provided by the director
Preparing preliminary plans for
the review of the client
Preparing building consent and
construction drawings
Site visits may be required to
survey particular levels or measurements or documenting
existing buildings.

Your internship here will be with an Architectural and Engineering design
consultancy. You'll have excellent opportunity to gain a
very varied and wide practical experience, with lots of learning!
Your work will include any of the following areas:
