WORTHWHILE AND REWARDING CONSERVATION PROJECTS IN AUSTRALIA, full of adventure and fun, too! We have various different types conservation projects available, including wildlife and marine projects. HANDS-ON WILDLIFE CONSERVATION IN ALBANY
 

Travel to the beautiful coastal town of Albany for an experience of a lifetime!  Volunteer in a hands-on and greatly beneficial role as an animal caretaker and tour guide! The Biodiversity Park is a brand new edition to Whale World and needs people like you to help educate visitors while giving them an interactive and hands-on experience with kangaroos, koalas, and the Western Australian woylie, a fascinating marsupial with declining populations throughout the region.

ANIMAL CARE IN A REHABILITATION CENTRE IN PERTH
 

A varied and fascinating Wildlife Rehabilitation Project that helps all types of animals throughout the whole of Perth. You'll work at the Rehabilitation Centre, as well as on various different projects throughout the city in locations that enable you to travel around Perth. These can range from a national park, to the river or coast, from Wetlands, beaches and possibly Perth Zoo, to working in schools or in an urban park.

VOLUNTEER WITH DOLPHINS IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA
 

Up close and personal with wild Dolphins! You'll contribute to the well-being of dolphins in an idyllic setting at a non-profit Centre committed to dolphin research, education, conservation and tourism. The Centre enables people to interact with Bottlenose dolphins in a variety of ways.

There are up to 100 dolphins living in the Bay and groups of them regularly visit the shallow waters in front of the Centre. This is the first Centre in Australia dedicated entirely to dolphin research. The project runs from 1 October to 31 May every year.

ANIMAL CONSERVATION IN A WILDLIFE PARK IN BUNBURY
Volunteer working with native Australian animals in Perth  

You'll work with animals, birds, plants, ecosystems, tourism and more, in an organisation that is dedicated to conserving Australia’s threatened wildlife and ecosystems - it's an immensely worthwhile project with a very high level of personal satisfaction! The Wildlife Park is a community-based volunteer-run organisation offering a Native Animal based experience, grounds keeping experience, retail/tourism experience, or a combination to suit your individual requirements.

COMBINATION: TWO WILDLIFE PROJECTS IN 2 CENTRES!
 

Get the most out of your Aussie Conservation experience by working in two wildlife centres in two different locations in Western Australia.
Help all types of animals throughout the whole of Perth. You'll work at the Rehabilitation Centre as well as on various different projects throughout the city. These can range from a national park, to the river or coast, from Wetlands, beaches and possibly Perth Zoo, to working in schools or in an urban park.
Work in a Wildlife Park in Bunbury, a beautiful town on the coast south of Perth that has over 60 varieties of Australian birds and marsupials. Popular activities in the Park are hand-feeding the free range kangaroos that roam freely around the Park and entering the large free-flight aviary to hand-feed the parrots!

If you do any placement in PERTH, an Indigenous Heritage tour in Kings Park, Perth's No. 1 tourist attraction, is included in your itinerary, free of charge!

 

If you do any placement in BUNBURY, you'll get a FREE weekend in Perth to explore this delightful city! You'll stay in a Backpackers situated in the heart of Perth, on the doorstep of vibrant North Bridge, famous for its bars, clubs and restaurants, and next door to the train station for easy access to the surrounding regions and the port of Freemantle.

You'll be met at the coach station and taken to the Backpackers where you'll do a little catching up, then you're free to explore the city at your own pace and in your own time. You'll return to Bunbury by coach on Sunday afternoon, ready to go back to your project on Monday.
