CONSERVATION PROJECTS IN SOUTH AFRICA

WORTHWHILE AND REWARDING CONSERVATION PROJECTS IN SOUTH AFRICA, full of adventure and fun, too!  We have many conservation projects of all different types available. They are listed below, so please click on the ones that appeal to you to read detailed descriptions of the projects.

Get the total African experience while learning from and living with conservation experts. You can work with most of the famous Big 5 animals (Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Rhinos and Leopard). We also have marine projects with sharks and whales, and hands-on projects with most species of animals.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL CONSERVATION:

  • Animal Rehabilitation Centre in KwaZulu-Natal. Help to rehabilitate orphaned, injured, abused or abandoned animals, including Vervet Monkeys and other species of animals and birds.

  • Wildlife Sanctuary and Game Park in Port Elizabeth in the Cape. Hands-on work with injured or abandoned animals of all types.

GAME RESERVE CONSERVATION:

  • Zululand Wildlife & Game Reserve Conservation Expedition: Here you have the opportunity to work on three very different Game Reserves, each with their own unique beauty and attraction. You'll gain a wealth of conservation knowledge and experience working under qualified conservation experts and on location out in the bush on a daily basis. You'll definitely experience Africa in a way that no mere tourist can!

  • Endangered Species: This project has now been successfully concluded. You can read more about the results of the project.

MARINE CONSERVATION:

  • Multi-Marine Project - Sharks, Whales, Penguins, Seals, Dolphins... this is an extraordinary project in a beautiful location, two hours from Cape Town.

  • White Shark Project - You'll get lots of training and much of the work is out at sea, possibly cage diving with the Great White sharks, depending on your ability. A deeply fascinating project that gets the adrenalin pumping. You'll learn a lot and have an awesome experience.

  • Dolphins and Whales Research - an excellent research project where you'll observe and learn a lot about dolphins and whales as well as Cape Fur seals.

Combination Projects: Do one exciting project in one place ... and then do a second exciting project in a completely different part of the country.

Double your experience. Double your fun.
Double your help.
