City tours are a brilliant way to explore the city – and a great way to be sure you haven't missed any of the best bits! We have tours on offer:

  • Or to the awe-inspiring Sacred Valley of the Incas
     

CITY TOUR: LIMA – 1 DAY

This tour combines the most diverse of Lima’s attractions from it's three historical periods:

 

  • Pre-Hispanic

  • Colonial

  • Contemporary
     

In the old Lima you will visit Huaca Pucllana, recently excavated remains of a pre-Inca pyramid of adobe bricks. It was one of the most important administrative and ceremonial centres of the Lima culture. Alter this you will continue on our way around Lima where you can visit the famous Paseo de la Republica, Plaza San Martin and the Plaza Mayor where the distinctive Government, Archbishop’s and Municipal Palaces and the Basilica Cathedral.

You will go inside the most beautiful Convent of San Fransisco, which is the best site to see religious colonial art in the Americas. Finally you will see the modern Lima by visiting the most traditional residential zones in the capital: El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar, a tourist centre distinctly apart from central Lima, with a spectacular view of the Pacific.

CITY TOUR: CUSCO – 1 DAY

Our first stop on this amazing tour is Qoricancha, Temple of the Sun. This was one of the most important buildings to the Incas, dedicated to the Sun and whose interior walls, it has been written, were covered in thick sheets of gold.

You will then continue to the Plaza de Armas and Cathedral, at the heart of Inca Cusco. Here you can see the best work of the Cusquenian painters. Then you'll continue up to the Sacsayhuaman a magnificent military fortress strategically located high above the city. This fortress guarded the capital of Cusco and is famous for its huge carved rocks, aligned with an amazing precision.

Finally, the adventure continues towards two archaeological ritual sites, Quenco and Tambomachay where the Incas were enlightened surrounded by an intricate network of platforms, niches and pools that to date continue to flow with water from springs in the highlands.

THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – 1 DAY

The sacred valley of the Incas runs along the course of the Vilcanota River where you will visit the most important historical sites. The market town of Pisac gives you an opportunity to look around the artisans market and take a relaxing lunch. You will then carry on towards the archaeological reserve at Ollyantaytambo, one of the most fascinating places in Peru.

Finally you will finish the tour in Chinchero where you will visit the colonial church and the textiles market where you may be lucky and see an example of the famous weaving techniques used in the production of their high quality products.
