Caroline Allen / Law Work Experience - Ghana / British

My placement is going really well: the Law firm where we're working is really friendly, and we've seen some very interesting work. A lot of what we've done has been human rights based - our trip to Ada last week involved helping to train local community leaders as paralegals so that they can recognise human rights abuses when they take place and then advise their people on the best action to take.

We've been working very closely with Nana Oye Lithur, one of the lawyers at Law Trust, who is a really impressive person, and very kind. She's made a real effort to involve us in all the work she does, and has even taken us to christenings and funerals so that we get a really full picture of life here!
