Enrich your experience in China by taking a Cultural Course!

We have teamed up with a prestigious school in Beijing, part of a group who have 25 years experience teaching students around the world.

The school is actually located within the Forbidden City - in a building that used to be the Imperial Ancestral Temple, and now functions as a language school and centre for Chinese culture! During your lessons, you're right on the doorstep of one of the most famous places in China! The area where the school is located is right next to a large park, so you can enjoy long walks or spend time reading quietly in one of the typical Chinese pavilions. Not far from the school is also the most famous shopping area of Beijing known as Wangfujing. You will be right in the centre of the action!

If you are a single student, you will take 4.5 hours of lessons per week. If you are with a group, or if there are other volunteers who want to take the same course at the same time as you, you may get up to 7.5 hours of lessons per week. We will of course try our best to match your dates with other volunteers, so that each student is able to take as many hours of lessons as possible.

Enjoy our additional courses of Tai Chi in our school and learn the relaxation and meditation techniques that have survived centuries. Tai Chi is becoming a popular method for exercise in the East, consisting of movements for mental relaxation. After two classes of Tai Chi, the goal is to feel complete and a higher sense of well-being.

CHINESE PAINTING LESSONS

You'll be provided with all the necessary materials for painting classes. The lessons are very sociable and totally fascinating! Chinese painting is a very important part of their culture and you'll get wrapped up in trying to master this skillful art. This course is also a way to relax in your spare time and take a break away from all that exploring and sightseeing!
