There are a number of fascinating and exciting activities you can do alongside your main placement, but the most useful will be to use the opportunity to improve your Spanish.

If you're a beginner, these lessons can be tailored to suit you and you may want to start your programme in Argentina with a 1-Week Intensive course. If you main project is in Mendoza, this is a great opportunity to explore Buenos Aires before setting off on your Mendoza adventure!

SPANISH COURSES:

Buenos Aires:

• 1-Week Intensive Course with private lessons (10 hours), prior to starting your Main Project: Includes all your food and accommodation.

• Weekly Lessons: 6 hours of lessons per week running concurrent with your main project: Price: £100 per week
   

• Weekly Lessons: 10 hours of lessons per week running concurrent with your main project:
  Price: £150 per week

You'll live a hostel situated in a beautifully renovated historic building in Downtown Buenos Aires, very conveniently located for exploring the city and doing shopping. It's big enough to be sociable and fun, yet small enough to feel at home; a real chance to immerse yourself in Argentine culture. You'll share a dorm room and have access to kitchen facilities. The hostel boasts of several amenities like internet and WiFi, a common area, DVD room, library, book exchange and a housekeeping service.

Mendoza:

• Private Weekly Lessons: 10 hours of private lessons per week running concurrent with your main project:
  Price: £195 per week
   

• Group Weekly Lessons: 20 hours of group lessons per week running concurrent with your main project:
  Price: £175 per week

ABOUT THE COURSES:
Lessons will be individually tailored to your requirements with a private teacher on a one-to-one basis. For group lessons, you'll be in a class with other students. At the end of the course, you'll receive a certificate stating that you have attended the course, to which level, and the duration of the course you have completed. Book here

Use your time in Argentina to learn Spanish, the fourth most spoken language in the world while living in Argentina. You can either do a 1-week intensive course prior to starting your main placement, or you can take lessons at the same time as doing your main project.
