These are our "Off The Wall" projects - the unusual, the different, the crazy!

These projects are unusual, exciting, fun and beneficial at the same time! We also have lots of exciting Optional Add-Ons you can do while on your Project, such as Surfing or Paragliding courses - different ways to add an extra dimension and fun to your travelling adventure. The projects below are the ones that don't fall into the normal categories of teaching or work experience or conservation. So if you like the unusual or the quirky, you might find something here to suit you.

SOUTH AFRICA

• Pilot's Licence Flying Course in George on the Garden Route - available now, an amazing opportunity!! Suitable for all ages from 16 years old and upwards.

• Cage Dive with the Great White Shark: It's an experience not to be missed and definitely one for your "Top 10 Things to do in my Lifetime" list! You'll get lots of training and much of the work is out at sea. Cage diving with the sharks may depend on your ability. Gets the adrenalin pumping! You'll learn a lot and have an awesome experience. 

• Paragliding Course (Optional Add-On) among the mountains in the cultural province of KwaZulu-Natal. This is a Special, an add-on you can do while on your project. Also open to non-Travellers volunteers

• Surfing Courses (Optional Add-On) on the beaches of KwaZulu-Natal. This is a Special, an add-on you can do while on your project. Also open to non-Travellers volunteers.

• Photography & Photoshop Courses in Cape Town. Cape Town is known to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world - definitely an excellent location to learn photography and then go out and snap away to your heart's content!! We have a selection of Digital Photography and Adobe® Photoshop® and Lightroom® Courses for you to choose from, ranging from Beginners to Advanced.

CHINA

• Tai Chi Course held in the Forbidden City in Beijing. Learn this very popular Eastern method of exercise and relaxation.

• Chinese Painting Courses in the Forbidden City. Painting is an important and fascinating part of Chinese Culture. Both these courses are Optional Add-Ons you can do alongside your main programme.

INDIA

• Yoga and Meditation Classes: Learn the Indian spiritual path aimed at achieving the union with the Supreme Consciousness. You can take Classes for one hour each day early in the morning before going on to work at your main project. A lovely way to start the day!

• Indian Cookery Classes: Indian cuisine is more than just curry. You choose what you’d like to cook from an extensive choice of recipes, visit the market to purchase your fresh vegetables, meat and fish, and learn how to cook South Indian style with your own private chef!

MALAYSIA

• Scuba Diving and Resort Assistant Management - an excellent and varied placement in one of the world's paradise locations. Diving courses are also available.

SRI LANKA

• Meditation in a Buddhist Retreat. Beautiful location, peaceful and tranquil. You can do this project for as short or as long as you choose, but keep in mind that no talking is allowed in the Retreat!

AUSTRALIA

• Surfing Lessons while on your project in Perth. Sparkling white beaches, awesome waves! This is a 1, 2 or 3-day Optional Add-On course you can do while on your placement

ARGENTINA

So you think you can Dance?!

• Learn the fiery Tango in Bueno Aires! Latin rhythm at its sultriest. And Argentina is the place to learn it!

• Learn the Salsa! If you can Salsa, you can do anything! You can also combine this with the Tango Course and learn both at the same time, or you can do it as an Optional Add-On concurrent with your main project.

• Photography Courses in cosmopolitan Buenos Aires where there is plenty of fascinating material for you to practice your skills. This course is taught by a renowned tutor.

BRAZIL

• Capoeira Courses in Rio de Janeiro. Capoeira is a game, a fight, a dance and many other things - a dazzling show of skill and interaction.

• Photography Courses in Rio de Janeiro. Full or part time photography courses with qualified and experienced Tutors.

• Surfing Lessons in Rio de Janeiro, the home of the famous Copacabana Beach. This is an Optional Add-On that you can do alongside your main project in Rio.

• Brazilian Music Courses: Music is part of the Brazilian soul - this is an outstanding place to learn and immerse yourself in rhythm

• Latin American Dance Courses: Learn to dance like a Brasileiro! Latin America has music in its soul. This is your chance to lose your inhibitions and set your spirit (and your feet) free!
