VOLUNTEER ABROAD WITH TRAVELLERS
YOUR ADVENTURE STARTS HERE!

Have a unique travel experience that's beneficial and worthwhile... and lots of fun and adventure.
Make a difference! Live and work abroad helping children, adults, animals and entire communities in less advantaged countries. Learn about their culture from the inside!

We have over 250 projects in 21 countries around the world. If you like a challenge in conservation or you want to help abused animals, you can do it in a unique environment. If you hanker after the satisfying fulfilment you get from teaching or caring for children, or the excitement of learning a new language, we've got just the project for you. If you need practical and structured work experience to boost your CV and make you stand out from the crowd, then a placement overseas is the perfect solution for you. You can coach and play sports, or if you're creative and prefer drama, music or dance, or if you want something a little different, a bit off-the-wall, we have many weird and wonderful projects just waiting for you.

And you can do all these different projects in 21 different countries!

We have 13 years' experience and over 100 staff overseas who are there to look after you and provide all the support & backup you might need. And our hands-on help and guidance starts from the moment you apply, all the way through to the end of your placement.

  • Who can apply? Everyone is welcome on a Travellers programme, whether gap year, undergraduate, on a career break - or even retired!

  • All ages and nationalities welcome: If you're aged from 17 to 70 or more, we have a variety of projects to suit you. Our programmes are also open to all nationalities.

  • Flexibility: You can take part for two weeks or up to one year. Tell us when you want to start and finish and we will arrange it all for you.

  • No qualifications required: Only a spirit of adventure and a sense of humour! And you don't need to be able to speak the local language either.

If you're thinking of doing a teaching project, you may like to consider whether you'd benefit from doing a TEFL course. Travellers runs a professional certificate in TEFL through our sister division, TEFL Time. If you would like to complete our UK-based 20 hour or 100 hour TEFL qualification to help you with your teaching placement, please contact us, or go to www.tefltime.com for further details and an application form. Travellers recommends! It's certificated and would stand you in good stead in the future as well as being a useful addition to your CV.

For essential travel advice and tips, visit www.fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo.

If you would like to make a donation to any one of our projects, perhaps one that is close to your heart, you can do so online by going to http://www.travellersvolunteers.co.uk/donate.php. You can choose how much you'd like to donate (from as little as £1) and you can choose exactly which project you'd like it to go to. We will liaise with you in case there are specific items that you'd like us to buy for the project with your donation money. All donations are very welcome and extremely important to those who have a lot less than us!
